Description

Fusion24™ Acoustical Tuning Faceplates

Fusion is defined as the merging of different elements into a union.

A fusion of absorption and diffusion acoustic products combines the benefits of both acoustic treatment methods to create a comprehensive solution for managing sound within a space. Absorption and diffusion are two key strategies used in acoustic design to address different aspects of sound control.

The Fusion 24 is designed to be added to any existing Auralex 2" x 24" x 48" panel or to be purchased with new Auralex panels. Auralex ProPanels are sold separately. We do recommend 2" thick wall panels for Fusion24.

  1. Absorption:

    • Absorption products are designed to reduce the reflection of sound waves by absorbing them into the material. This helps in minimizing echoes, reverberation, and unwanted noise in a room.

  2. Diffusion:

    • Diffusion involves scattering sound waves in various directions, preventing them from forming strong, direct reflections. This helps maintain a balanced acoustic environment by avoiding overly dead or overly live spaces.
    • Diffusers are often designed as geometric patterns or irregular surfaces to disperse sound waves effectively.

The Auralex Fusion24™ line of acoustical add-on faceplates are designed to add a distinctive aesthetic touch to traditional absorption panels while purposefully shaping the absorption performance. Higher frequencies are reflected or scattered, while midrange and lower frequencies are still absorbed. Depending on your room's acoustical signature and purpose and the desired effect, you can add a Fusion24 panel to all your room's treatment panels or to just a couple of strategically placed panels.

Features of the Auralex Fusion24:

  • Hybrid Solution: Combine absorption materials and diffusion patterns within the same panel. This integration allows for a more versatile solution that can address both reflection and diffusion simultaneously.

  • Tuned Design: Engineered to provide specific absorption and diffusion characteristics.

  • Aesthetic Integration: Enhance the visual appeal of your acoustical treatment to seamlessly blend into various architectural and interior design styles.

  • Modularity and Placement: Flexible installation, allowing users to strategically place Fusion24 faceplates to achieve the desired balance of absorption and diffusion based on the room's specific acoustical requirements.

  • Broad Frequency Response: Addresses a broad range of frequencies, ensuring effective control across the audible spectrum.

  • Available in 24" x 48" faceplates for existing wall panels or ordered with new Auralex ProPanel™ Wall Panels.
  • Available panel designs – Stasis, Reflection, Cosmos, Arecibo, Rain, Circuit and Breath
  • Available panel finishes – Two-sided Ash/Pear Wood, One-sided Black or White

By combining absorption and diffusion elements, this fusion approach provides a more comprehensive solution for creating an acoustically optimized environment, balancing the need for sound absorption to control reverberation with diffusion to maintain a lively and natural acoustic character.
